About this tool

Opening the page shows the address your request arrives from. This is the address websites see, which is usually not the one in your device's network settings: a home network shows the router's public address after NAT, an office network may show a proxy's exit address, and a mobile network often shows a carrier-grade NAT address that changes over time. An address is not an identity and not a precise location. It maps roughly to a network operator and region, but not to a street address. This page only displays the address — it performs no geographic lookup, keeps no record, and sets no identifying cookie.

Limits and notes

How your input is handled

The domain or URL you enter is sent to our server, where an isolated process contacts the host on your behalf. Nothing you submit is stored or written to an analytics event, no cookies or authorization headers are forwarded, and the target's JavaScript is never executed. The server may only reach publicly routable internet addresses; private ranges, loopback, and cloud metadata addresses are refused.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this differ from the address on my computer?
Most devices hold a private address such as 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x, valid only on your local network. When you connect outward, the router performs NAT and replaces the source with its own public address, which is what websites see. Both are 'your IP' — they just sit at different levels.
Does changing my address make me anonymous?
No. The address is only the connection's source marker; sites can still recognise you through cookies, a signed-in session, or browser fingerprinting. Equally, an address cannot identify a person — one exit address may sit in front of thousands of users.
